Empowering Veterans to Thrive in Agriculture

The USDA Farm Service Agency released a Fact Sheet detailing How to Apply for a Direct FSA Loan. Loans are available to purchase farm land or pay operating expenses, such as equipment, seed, or livestock. There is also an Emergency Loan Program for losses in counties that are declared a disaster or quarantine area.

The Fact Sheet tells how to obtain an FSA loan application, provides a list of all forms that must be submitted, and describes the process that will occur after submission.

Visit the FSA Farm Loan Programs web page or visit your local USDA Service Center to learn more about the different types of FSA Direct Loans as well as FSA Loan Guarantee Programs. You can also learn more about general financing issues in the FVC IA Farm Building Resource Guide.
