Empowering Veterans to Thrive in Agriculture

The “Rural America Hiring Heroes” program seeks to connect agricultural employers with the rich skills and abilities of military service members and their families for the purpose of strengthening the Iowa economy and providing a livelihood to our military veterans.

Veterans and Service Members Seeking Jobs

We provide veterans with information on planning their education, locating jobs, and developing careers in Iowa agriculture. We also collaborate with organizations and agencies that specialize in resume development and translating military skills and experience to civilian jobs.

Employers Seeking Veterans

We work with existing agencies to engage agricultural and rural employers in programs designed to educate, promote, and facilitate recognized best-practice processes and success strategies for sourcing, hiring, training, and retaining military veterans and service members.
